The Charleston area market as a whole continues to hold value and remains desirable as a second or primary home location. We are moving out of an intense seller's market, interest rates have increased over the past several months, resulting in a slowdown in sales in the area, especially in the $400,000 to $1.5 million dollar range. Properties listed in this range have also seen the largest percentage of price adjustments as they are lingering on the market. Prices remain high overall as inventory is still lower than normal.
That being said, the Lowcountry is still a very desirable location and we continue to see keen interest from buyers particularly for homes in certain neighborhoods. Turnkey properties in desirable locations continue to be in demand and there are still many buyers that want something that is move in ready.
