For 25 years Jennifer Davis has been a leading broker of Charleston’s luxury residential properties and high street commercial properties located in Charleston's downtown National Landmark District. Her commercial and residential transactions total over $200,000,000. Jennifer’s ingenuity is valued by discerning clients in search of Charleston’s most exceptional properties.
Prior to joining the Maison team in 2019, Jennifer founded Domicile Real Estate Brokerage, a real estate investment and brokerage firm which she led for 15 years.. During her tenure with Domicile, Jennifer cultivated a network of professional relationships with Charleston’s preservation institutions,, zoning boards, architectural review boards and with the other top tier brokers in the marketplace. She also co-founded Ibis, Inc., a historic real estate development partnership dedicated to the adaptive re-use of historic properties. Under Jennifer’s leadership, Ibis successfully purchased, restored, and sold dozens of properties. This work provided her with extensive expertise in commercial and residential restoration and preservation, including negotiating terms, leveraging conservation easements, utilizing state and federal tax credits, and navigating zoning and architectural review boards.
The prestigious South Carolina Governor’s Honor Award for Historic Preservation was awarded to Ibis in recognition of the company's accomplishments. Her projects have also received grants and tax credits from the South Carolina Department of Archives and History and the Department of the Interior. She has actively contributed to her community by serving on the boards of the Coastal Conservation League, the Palmetto Conservation Foundation, and the Beaufort Historic Foundation. National feature articles about her achievements have been published by the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, House Beautiful and Home Style.
Jennifer attended Foxcroft School in Middleburg, Virginia and the New York School of Interior Design. Her interior design skills are helpful to residential buyers who are considering design changes to an existing home or to sellers in need of staging advice for their home before placing it on the market.
Jennifer raised her four children in a 1840 Greek Revival Charleston single house on one of Charleston’s last remaining cobblestone streets where she still lives today.
Little known fact: Jennifer is the author of three children’s books which have been published in five languages by Workman Publishing.
