Debbie O'Lunney

Debbie O’Lunney brings a dynamic approach and an arsenal of tools to real estate from both of
her prior careers. She possesses the skills, knowledge and tenacity to advocate for her clients
throughout the process of buying and selling a house. With a client first mentality, she
understands that buying or selling a home is more than a transactional endeavor and enjoys the
relationship building that is so key in real estate. She believes it is critical to make each client
feel at ease and comfortable with a smooth, streamlined and pleasant experience. Debbie
appreciates the impact of a move whether it is 800 miles or 4 houses away. She has done both!
Upon earning a BBA in Marketing, Debbie was hired into the Executive Training Program for
Bloomingdale’s where she learned the principles of sales firsthand through negotiations with
vendors to maximize profit, effective advertising, attention to detail and an appreciation for the
client experience in a high end, luxury setting. She later honed her negotiation skills while
representing Bloomingdale’s during arbitration and mediation with the union representing the
flagship store. Once Debbie and her husband had their 2 children, Debbie pivoted using her
M.Ed and spent time in private school education where she was known for her strong work
ethic, organizational skills, clear communication, team-centered approach and positive attitude.
She is passionate about real estate because it enables her to use both her quantitative and
qualitative skills while serving her clients.
Trading NY’s Big Apple for Charleston’s iconic pineapple, she made the move that she and her
family always dreamed about. Having spent summers along the Carolina shores for decades,
they eagerly embraced their relocation to the Charleston area four years ago and feel blessed
that they did! She has become an unofficial ambassador and loves to explore the many
concerts, beautiful beaches, fabulous golf courses, wonderful restaurants, walking trails and
history that Charleston has to offer. Debbie enjoys living in Mount Pleasant with her husband
and children. She serves on the I’on Trust and is an active member of the community.
